Terms of use
Draft · for the example-data demo
A working draft of the terms of use, written to save a lawyer time. It is not legal advice, it has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and it does not claim that Vale complies with any law. Text like [PLACEHOLDER: this] is unknown or undecided. Boxes marked "Drafting note" are for the owner and the lawyer.
1. Who is behind Vale
Vale is operated by [PLACEHOLDER: full legal name of the person or company], tax ID [PLACEHOLDER: NIF, NIE or CIF], address [PLACEHOLDER: postal address in Spain], email [PLACEHOLDER: contact email].
Today there is no company. Vale is a personal project of its owner, Issa Ahmad, a master's student in Madrid [PLACEHOLDER: owner to confirm how he wants to be named in public]. See the Legal notice.
2. What Vale is today
- A free early demo. You say what kind of day you want in Madrid, pick a day, a group size (1 to 20) and a budget, and Vale proposes a timed plan. You swap, skip or approve each item yourself.
- Every place, price, partner, opening time, table, ticket and booking reference is made up. The page says "example data" on every screen.
- Nothing is booked, charged or sent to any real business, and no real ticket exists. "Open operator app" opens nothing.
- The "agent" follows fixed rules over a short list of example items. It is not a language model and it does not read your request text. See How the agent works.
- There are no accounts. Vale has no way to identify you.
3. Payments in the demo
By default payments are simulated: "Card", "Wallet" and "Bizum" are labels, the bank confirmation is a drawing, and nothing leaves your browser. No money moves and no card is used.
The owner can switch on a test mode with Stripe. In that mode the Payments page shows a "Test mode" banner and sends you to a page hosted by Stripe, where only Stripe's test cards work. Never enter a real card. No real money moves and Vale never sees card details. Which mode you are in is always shown on the Payments page.
Live payments do not exist in this version.
4. Using the demo
- Use it for trying the idea. Do not rely on it to plan a real day: check any place, price or opening time with the venue yourself.
- Do not try to break, overload or misuse the site, and do not use it for anything unlawful.
- Lawyer [PLACEHOLDER: any further rules, for example on automated access]
5. Your plans and shared links
Your plans are saved only in your browser (see Local storage). Vale cannot see them, recover them or delete them for you. If you clear your browser data they are gone.
A share link holds the plan in the address itself (date, group size, budget, which options). Browsers do not send that part of an address to a server, but anyone who has the link can read the plan, and the message app you paste it into will see it. Share it only with people you want to see it.
6. Intellectual property
- The name "Vale", the design and the code belong to [PLACEHOLDER: owner or company; trademark status is not yet checked]. Lawyer
- Code licence: [PLACEHOLDER: choose a licence, or keep all rights reserved; the code has no licence file yet].
- The typefaces (Big Shoulders Display, Schibsted Grotesk, DM Mono) are open fonts under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
- Business names in the example data are meant to be fictional. [PLACEHOLDER: owner to check that none is a real business or a registered trademark]
7. Responsibility
The demo is free and is provided as it is, without promises that it is correct, complete or always available. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law gives you as a consumer.
Lawyer This draft deliberately does not limit liability. In Spain and the EU, clauses that limit liability or are one-sided in a consumer contract are restricted by the unfair-terms rules, so this section needs a lawyer to write it, if at all.
8. Changes and availability
Vale may change, pause or stop the demo, and may change these terms. The date of the last change is shown on each page. [PLACEHOLDER: how changes are announced]
9. Law, complaints and courts
Governing law and courts: [PLACEHOLDER: to be decided with a lawyer]. As a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live Lawyer.
Complaints: write to [PLACEHOLDER: contact email]. Alternative dispute resolution: [PLACEHOLDER: whether Vale joins any ADR body; none is chosen].
These terms are only for a free demo with example data. Before Vale links to real partners, takes any payment, adds accounts or opens a second country, they must be rewritten. Typical additions: who sells what to whom, price and tax information, order and confirmation steps, withdrawal and cancellation, partner terms, account rules, and local consumer law.
